What is PR Campaign? Definition, meaning (in 100 words)

The aim of a PR campaign is to relate information to the public for the benefit of the client. Broadly there are three steps in it. First, decide the information that will be disseminated, second, determine the target audience and third, selecting the right media. For example, electronics magazine and similar niche editorial coverage in broadcasting channels and websites will be more apt for say, launch of a digital camera. This is much more than writing and sending press release to media. There are “4Ps” to remember – photography, pitch, profile and pack. Follow up religiously and intelligently with media.
